Terms of Service

The ground rules for using these recipes: what you may do with them, and what happens when a dish does not turn out.

Last updated 6 November 2026

These terms cover your use of Bowl & Loaf. They are deliberately short. If something here is unclear, ask before you rely on it.

Agreeing to these terms

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site. They apply to anyone who reads, prints or links to these pages.

What the site is for

Bowl & Loaf publishes recipes, technique notes and dish images for personal, non-commercial use. You are welcome to cook from them, print a page for your own kitchen, and link to any recipe.

Cooking is your responsibility

Recipes are worked out in a home kitchen, but your oven, hob, flour, altitude and ingredients are not the same as the ones used here. Times and temperatures are guidance, not guarantees.

Food safety is real. Poultry, pork, eggs, seafood and reheated rice carry genuine risk if undercooked or left out too long. Follow the food safety guidance published by your local authority. If you have an allergy or a medical condition, check every ingredient yourself; these recipes are not written for any particular diet.

Hot oil, steam, pressure cookers and heavy clay pots can injure you. Use equipment the way its manufacturer instructs.

Nutrition figures are estimates

Calorie and macronutrient figures are calculated from standard ingredient data and rounded. Brands, portion sizes and cooking losses all move the real number. Do not use them to plan a medical or therapeutic diet.
